your daily dose of jealousy

controlling anger towards self and others

“What’s your problem?” is a good way to start a conversation with someone who trusts you. Not so much with a new client.

Nevertheless, we established trust and moved into the sticky, internal, goopy darkness of the soul and this is what came up: I get jealous of others.

Some examples of jealousy torpedoing contentedness:

  • Someone else starts liking the band that you found first.

  • Someone else is skinnier than you.

  • Someone else has bigger opportunities than you.

If jealous comes easy to you and causes you to back away, consider this.

  • The person who likes the same band is a friend in the making.

  • The skinnier person is a work-out buddy or someone to share recipes with.

  • The opportunity getter can inspire you, and may even collaborate with you later on.

Strive to celebrate others today.
It will revitalize your efforts and set you closer towards where you want to go.
