Why some friendships feel stale
3 Type of Friends: Old friends, Hold friends, Bold friends
I did a poetry reading this weekend, so today’s email is in poem
Good friends make for a good life.
Great friends make for a great hikes.
Just like tree rings measure the age of an oak,
we use our friends to measure our stages of growth.
There are three types of friends who help us transcend
Pictured, me at a poetry reading this weekend.

Three types of friend on a timeline:
Old friends:
There for an era that came to an end
You’re probably still facebook friends
but times have a-changed
and we’re differently aged
and you’re fine never seeing them again
Hold friends:
You’ll see them exactly enough
You live nearby and keep in touch
but if you change hobbies
or move for a job-bie
these friendships start gathering dust
Bold friends:
The people you love and pursue
Your most interesting, motivated few
They make you feel better
And when you are together
You’re inspired to be better, too
