Streaking means running naked

Every day, I get to write a thought and send it to a handful of people in the shape of this email.

As far as consistency goes, it’s been on and off.
What was intended to be a daily email struggles to be one, but it continues nonetheless, whether I miss a day or not.

As the days continue towards 2026, I join the millions of people in thinking about the intentions for the new year.

Continuing to send emails is a no-brainer. The exercise has been both a delight in keeping the writing muscle twitching and keeping certain relationships connected while honing my form and style and topic of discussion.

Writing, as an exercise, is a joy — and, as Seth Godin wrote in his daily email that inspired me to start this one: If you consider yourself a writer but aren’t publishing your work, you aren’t a writer. You’re a coward.

The line hit me hard because I journaled consistently for a decade plus but never shared my writing. This journal is a step in the direction of radical openness!
