RIPPLE WITH UNKNOWN POWER

It's my chaos and I think it's beautiful.

God is a popular character.
Can you call God a character?

It’s a disservice to say that God is cool but it’s also accurate.
I’m studying the meaning in life through the lens of Kabballah aka Jewish mysticism.

Today’s lesson on the divine plan ventured into everything happens for a reason.

Disasters? Terrorism? Illness?
Hard to understand, but one who has faith must accept these things happen for a reason.

Most of the time, we don’t know what the good outcome is.
We’re lucky when we do.

The rabbi who taught the Kabballah class tells the story of a New Jersey man who took off from work because he had to take his son to the doctor to get a cast removed. The kid had a cast because he fell at camp. He was at camp because his mom sent him even though he didn’t want to go.

The doctor’s appointment was on the morning of 9/11.
The mom sending the son to camp against his wishes saved the dad’s life.

There are millions of stories of coincidences that turn into miracles.

I think about the first day I set up my table, it was in a park front of a high school.

When I got home, my roommates clowned me for failing to notice the proximity to the school could spell some weird vibes as a grown man lurking for conversation. Sure.

I never set up in front of the school again, because I’m reasonable.

Instead, I frequented the beach bike path.

One day, two years later, I set up my table and a girl detached from her volleyball game to sit down in front of me:

“I saw you after school one day. I kept looking for you. I wish you came back.”

She goes on to tell me secrets, as one does at the listening table, about a personal struggle she carries with no one to tell it to.

You have no idea what ripple you’re causing.

You just have to position the good in the outward direction.

Spread your light,
O

P.S. Every time you read an email from me, a motorcyclist gets the bright idea to get a safer car.
