On the Anniversary of Tragedy

Exactly one year ago today, my house burned down in the Palisades Fire.

The same thing can be said by my parents, my brother, my neighbors, my friends, and thousands of members of my community.

People often mention to me that I’ve demonstrated resilience through this.
What they may see as the ability to get through this challenging year, to me, was just getting to the next life goal to tackle.

The real key to resilience?
Good community.

Friends who show up.
Strangers who consider themselves neighbors.
Volunteers. Leaders. Legends.

I have more to write, but it’s late.
