How To Behave Like Important People

I took a class today about purpose and meaning in life through the Jewish mystic perspective.

Spoiler: Everyone’s lives have meaning, and they all matter.
As to why, that’s a question for me to continue discussing with the rabbi.

But one thing is demonstrably true: Most people are important to someone.

The Rabbi who taught the class spoke about the Queen of England, Elizabeth.

She stuck to a certain set of etiquette rules (dress code, eating rules, no selfies, etc) because she was the royal family, and that’s what they had to do.

But following the same rules as the queen would not make you royalty.

There are certain behaviors that people undertake when they hit certain levels of importance.

Rabbi Avi argues that because you inherently matter/are important, it’s your responsibility to do the appropriate behaviors.

That is why I am once again continuing this daily email - despite the hour - as I set myself up for a prolonged streak that lasts… for the rest of my life (or until the next thing).

That’s also why I’m going to sleep ❤️
O

P.S. Question: What is one behavior the more important version of yourself would do, that you don’t do now?

My answer: Take more risks.
