Friendships take little work

Think we’re living in the age of quick fixes now? Give AI a year.
Convenience comes at a premium, and the best tools take out the busy work.

Cooking, coding, creating — AI could’ve written this in 1/50th the time it took me to write this, and it would likely be as good, if not better at getting you to open the email and click on the ad.

I write to engage my brain, to hone my writing, and to carefully lay bricks on the road to my first physical book. Maybe you feel that 1%.

I continue into my thirties, I notice friendship changing based around three principles:

  1. Location (Stop living there, you lose em.)

  2. Hobbies (Stop doing that, you lose em.)

  3. Time in life (Still waiting on my friends to have kids to see what happens.)

If anything changes, everything does.

It takes low effort to keep a friend, but takes even less to lose ‘em.
