Celebrate invisible things more

You will never know if you prevented a suicide, a kidnapping, a car accident, or a disaster because they never happened.

Thus, you never get to celebrate.

Data shows that emotional support is incredibly effective in reducing mental health related hospitalizations, and yet the US government would rather treat patients with visible issues (at the rate of $300k a week per person hospitalized) than spend the same amount keeping emotional support lines running for months at a time.

Consider which of your struggles are preventable with small albeit less-appealing routine, rather than waiting until things implode to fix them is a flawed strategy.

If lonely, it may be a regular good morning voice memo to a rotation of friend, attending more local events, or committing to a practice of self-introspection, self-worthiness, or communication skills training.
