Better Listener failed forward

A recent trend I’m seeing online: The Museum of Failures.

Picture this. You’re on social media.
You see a near-middle-aged man sitting in his apartment.
Somber music plays.
Text floats on screen: My museum of Failures.

Then, the caption lists them all:
Started a hot dog business at 14. Hated making the hot dogs.
Started a podcast at 17. Shot 4 episodes.
Started ice cream cart at 19. Made 1000$ in the Summer.
Started a newsletter… et cetera.

This trend illustrates that many people you admire tried and failed countless times before you crossed paths with them.

Treat a relationship the same way.

Ask a new question.
Speak in a new tone.
Try a new catch phrase.

If it feels good, use it.
If not, move on.

There’s room for growth, and you get to feel silly to get there.
