Accessing an Airport Kind of Love

Today I attended a wonderful workshop in storytelling and communication and I want to tell you about it.

Among other activities, the instructor has us walk around the room and greet other participants like we were seeing them at an airport and they’d just landed.

This group I was in had been together for about twenty four hours now and we were starting to bond but many of us still strangers.

But as we wandered the room yelling, “Oh my goodness it’s so great to see you,” and giving big hugs, the experience changed us.

The exercise was a reminder that we choose how we show up.
And part of choosing this more often is part of how we grow up.

If you want someone to feel like they’re cared for
Just greet them like you’re seeing them at the airport.
