3 Things to Say to Iranians
Creating softness in turbulent times
Oversimplified, there’s a lot happening in Iran right now and many people feel anxious about it.
If you’re curious or concerned about an Iranian or connected person in your life, consider this a phrase I’ve heard many say when people were going through grief and stress:
I remember who didn’t reach out.
The common reality is that consoling people can be tough, and it can seem safer to not reach out rather than say the wrong thing. In this case, the safe route is at the cost of connection.
Here are three things you can say if you need a push:
I’ve been following the news and I’m thinking about you.
Let me know if there’s anything I can do for you.
I just want you to know I love you and am here for you.
You don’t have to be right.
You just have to be there.
Stay connected,
Orly Israel
